Eastern Europe’s most beautiful destination transitions to the 21st century

The most beautiful country in Eastern Europe has a lot going for it: medieval villages, cosmopolitan cities -- its capital, Bucharest, was once known as “The Paris of the East” -- Count Dracula’s Transylvania, a history-rich landscape, snowy peaks, and a Black Sea coastline.
